Translation
"If I was married
First I should have been 22 years old, finished high school and university. To have somewhere to be comfortable. To have both feet steady. A house in Greece and a house in Australia, car, and a job.
And I wouldn't live in Australia. Not that I don't like it, but I want to go back to my country. A two-story house in Larissa with my parents and brother. To go back home, open the door, and say that I am back, that I have brought back a beautiful woman, with an open heart, and loving children.
I would work for seven years and then have children. Two or three, a girl and a boy. I would take them to my parents.
Every Sunday I would take the children to see my old people (=parents) **tender language in Greek describing elderly family members**. When it was time for school holidays, we would go to Athens and to the coast."

| Transcription | "Aν ήμουν παντρεμένος
Πρώτα θα έπρεπε να ήμουν 22 χρονών, να έχω βγάλει το γυμνάσιο και το πανεπιστήμιο. Να έχω κάπου να βολευόμαστε. Να έχω και τα δύο ποδάρια σταθερά. Ένα σπίτι στην Eλλάδα, ένα σπίτι στην Αυστραλία, αυτοκίνητο, και μια δουλειά.
Και δεν θα έμενα στην Αυστραλία. Όχι ότι δεν μου αρέσει, αλλά εγώ θέλω να πάω πίσω στην πατρίδα μου. Ένα διώροφο σπίτι στη Λάρισα με τους γονείς και τον αδερφό μου. Να γυρίσω πίσω στο σπίτι, να ανοίξω τη πόρτα, και να πω ότι γύρισα, ότι έφερα πίσω μια γυναίκα όμορφη, με ανοιχτή καρδιά, να αγαπάει τα παιδιά.
Θα δούλευα εφτά χρόνια και μετά θα έκανα παιδιά. Δυο - τρια, ένα κορίτσι και ένα αγόρι. Θα τα πήγαινα στους γονείς μου.
Κάθε Κυριακή θα πήγαινα τα παιδιά να δουν τα γεροντάκια μου. Όταν είχε σχολικές διακοπές, θα πηγαίναμε στnν Αθήνα και στην θάλασσα."
