Extracts of interviews with German prisoners of war at Camp Spiegel, Liverpool, NSW relating to the voyage of the EMDEN from 27 July to 9 November 1914, including descriptions of SMS EMDEN's battle with HMAS SYDNEY. They relate a German sailors' perspective of events concerning EMDEN from just before the outbreak of war on July 27th 1914 to the Battle of Cocos on 9 November.
