Greek language communities
Greeks have been living in Australia since the first part of the nineteenth century. Greek-language newspapers have been published in Australia since 1913. Today there are large communities in every city, especially Sydney and Melbourne, reflecting great political and social diversity.

Language enrolments (nearly all of them) are collapsing across the country as institutions play w AI & general competency substitutes. It’s dismal and must be opposed strenuously. Meanwhile support every green shoot: ANU hiring in Burmese, deadline 2 Sept. Promote.
