Each of the 80 photographs contain a description of the street, the buildings, the scenery, or the people in the photo in German. The five watercolours have a short description in English.

1 album 280 x 390 x 70 mm [closed]. The album contains 80 photographs and five original watercolours by L W K Wirth. The first Wirth painting contains a dedication to Heussler. Album pages have been illustrated with botanical motifs framing the photographs. Photographs depict scenes of Brisbane, including buildings and people. Also photographs of Toowoomba, Nerang, Fassifern and district, Mackay, Laidley, Grantham, Nambour, Sampson Vale, Mount Morgan, Charleville, Engelsburg (Kalbar), Blackall Range, Coomera, Mount Cotton, Westbrook, Buderim Mountains, Roma, Mount Abundance, Wynum (Wynnum), Gatton, Glasshouse and Boonah. The album is accompanied by its original mahogany box. Album is bound in morocco with silver corners and featuring the German crest surrounded with a wreath of oak leaves in the centre. The corner pieces feature the English, Dutch, Australian and German coats of arms. The album has a silver clasp and five studs on the lower board. Box of copy prints also available. The collection also includes a box of individual copy print photographs of the album pages. |
