1 watercolour – 15.2 x 22.6 cm image; 17.8 x 24.8 cm sheet Titled beneath image. This drawing is very close to Joseph Fowle’s ca. 1845 drawing of Miller’s Point although there are more buildings and the view is slightly different. It is possible Delessert has copied a lost drawing by Fowles. Delessert used the drawing to illustrate his “Voyages dans les Deux Oceans Atlantique et Pacific 1844 a 1847”, 1848 p.103 Digital order no:a128799… |
