| Description From Source | 0 – Whole, H: 13.7 x W: 8.9cm (H: 137 x W: 89mm) Postcard sent to Arnt Martinius ‘Martin’ Andersen (1899 – 1963), former resident of 64 Gloucester Street and later 58 Gloucester Street, The Rocks, 1937.The coloured postcard featuring an illustration of snow covered trees forming snowmen-like figures on the front is addressed “Herr Arnt M. Andersen 58 Gloucester St. City Sydney Australia”. Dated 1 Janaury 1937, this postcard was sent to Arnt Martinius ‘Martin’ Andersen (1899 – 1963) from his eldest son Reidar and daughter-in-law Liss (Elise). Handwritten in Norwegian on the reverse, is a message wishing his father a Happy New Year and a promise to send a letter soon. |
