Description Black and white photograph of Stepan Tscherepko standing outside the double doors of a Bonegilla kitchen or other workplace, with another man poking his head between Stepan’s legs. A sign in English and German on the doors says “No admittance”. Dimensions 102 x 152 History of Item Stepan Tscherepko and his wife and sons Waldemar, Viktor and Anatoly, originally from Ukraine immigrated to Australia through the International Refugee Organisation in 1950 from Germany. Originally a cook, Stephan and his family stayed at Bonegilla for 12 years living in Blocks 14, 16 and 18 as well as the hospital block. |
