From the State Library of Western Australia – 112569PD: Tombstone for Chinese man Ho Ching Yeun (1860-1927), Broome Cemetery, 1935 Translation of text on tombstone: Top line: Cantonese: Gwong Dung San Wui Yun, English: Guangdong (province), Xinhui (Sanwui) county. Middle column: Cantonese: Ching Yeun Ho ? Mou, English: Grave of the honourable Ho Ching Yeun (He Qingrun). Right column: Cantonese: Sang yu Haam Fung gau nin seui chi Gang San, English: Born in the ninth year of the Xianfeng reign, a Geng Shen year (i.e. 1860). Left Column: Cantonese: Jung yu Man Gwok sap luk nin saam yut sap baat yat, English: Died on the eighteenth day of the third month of the sixteenth year of the Republic (i.e. 19th April 1927)].
