An Teachdaire gaidhealach is thought to be the earliest Scottish Gaelic publication in Australia, published in Hobart during 1857 (“Celtic culture” by John T. Koch, 2006, p. 375). It was suspended for 125 years before being resurrected by the Council for Scottish Gaelic in Sydney. Suspended for 124 years (1858-1981). Suspended again (1990-Aug. 1998) |
