Short DescriptionBeniamino Casarotti left Cogolo near Peio in Trentino in April 1888 and came to Australia, where he worked as a woodcutter in Victoria. He returned to Italy after 7 years, but in 1901 he left again, this time for America, where he worked for 4 years before going permanently back to Italy. His granddaughter, Sister Antonietta Casarotti, came to Australia in the 80s as a missionary and stayed in Queensland. She also spent 7 years in this country like her “nonno”.
