Giovanni Bertola owned the Milano mine with other 3 partners at Mt Monger. He migrated from Montagna (Sondrio) to Australia in 1927. His first job was to cut firewood for the Kalgoorlie water pumping Station at Mundaring Weir. In the 1932 he took off to the goldfields together with Filippo Muffatti. They then moved to Mt Monger in Kalgoorlie |
