Australia is prepared to accept the Indies Dutch

CANBERRA, ACT – The Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, R.G. Casey, has stated in the federal parliament in Canberra that Australia will be prepared to accept as many Dutch people as possible from Indonesia if they must leave this country.
“Our ties with the Dutch are of a friendly, even close, nature,” Minister Casey continued.
The minister further stated that this issue of possible asylum for Dutch people expelled from Indonesia has the full attention of Athol G. Townley, the immigration minister.

De minister verklaarde verder, dat deze kwestie van eventueel asiel aan uit Indonesie verdreven Nederlanders de volle aandacht heeft van de minister van immigratie, Athol G. Townley.
