Description From SourcePrinted on front cover: A RED LETTER DAY/Fin de la Guerre ! [further text]. Printed on back cover: Un Joyeux Noel. Grey booklet with vertical fold and insert secured at spine by staple. Cover features text and decorative border printed in red ink. Insert bears red and white diamond colour patch and extensive printed text in black ink. The booklet has both English and French text. Souvenir booklet announcing ‘Fin de la Guerre! [End of the War!] and commemorating the forthcoming Christmas. The booklet features English and French text. It was issued by the Regimental Press of the 24th Australian Battalion -11/11/1918 from La Chaussee-Tirancourt, Somme, where troops were resting. The booklet features an insert bearing Marshal Foch’s message to Commander in Chief British Forces announcing the cessation of hostilities.
