Description From Source28.7 cm (Length), 20.7 cm (Height) Double page from an exercise book with blue lines, handwriting in pencil. Diary used by Latvian immigrant Karina Nartiss (nee Zars), circa 1948-1949. Karina immigrated to Australia following World War Two, after spending time in a Displaced Persons camps in Germany. She arrived in Australia on 24 May 1949. Karina appeared on the 1954 Australian 10 Pound Note.
