Diary used by Latvian immigrant Karina Nartiss (nee Zars), circa 1948-1949. Karina immigrated to Australia following World War Two, after spending time in a Displaced Persons camps in Germany. She arrived in Australia on 24 May 1949. Karina appeared on the 1954 Australian 10 Pound Note. |
