Abstract

This letter written by Dr. E. Haber, relative to the occupation of Rabaul in 1914, refers to arrangements for the townspeople of Rabaul to continue their business during the communications regarding the takeover by the Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force (AN&MEF). Haber also relays his lack of authority to surrender the town of Rabaul.
