Abstract

Michele Magliari was originally was Puglia, in Italy. During World War II, as a young soldier he was captured on the African front and imprisoned first in Egypt, then in India, and finally in Australia. Repatriated at the end of 1946, he reunited with his family and resumed his work. He subsequently emigrated to France for a brief period. In Australia he was in Melbourne and Adelaide. As a POW he worked in the farms in Australia.
