| Description From Source | Height 260 mm, Width 205 mm. Letter, M Guillaux’s Bleriot aircraft, paper, M. Jean Marduel, Sydney, NSW, Australia, 1916 A single sheet of letter paper, handwritten in ink on Berlitz School of Languages letterhead. The text has been applied with dark brown/black ink on a white background. Written in French the letter refers to the cheque from Mr R G Carey of Ballarat as payment for the Bleriot from which M. Guillaux can be paid his 6,500 francs. The addressee was probably E de Baillou, Company director of Compagnie des Messageries Maritimes. This object is most probably an estray from the companies archive. |
