ENGLAND.
London, June 7. On Thursday, 200 girls and young women left Plymouth for Sydney in New South Wales on the Royal George. They are transferred free of charge under the supervision of the Australian Land and Emigration Commission, by which they have been selected at various places in Ireland. The greatest need for servants and the disproportion of the sexes in the colonies have been discussed for a long time and have finally given rise to this measure. Half a dozen dignified matrons are charged with the care of this rare cargo. – Soon, the ship Oriental, chartered by the emigration committee with 200 emigrants, will also set sail for the Cape of Good Hope.

ENGELAND. Londen, 7 juni. Jl. |
