Full title: Kôgun shôhei ni tsugu [To officers and men of the Imperial Japanese Army].

A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Melanesia and the Netherlands East Indies. An English translation of the text is attached and notes that the purposes of this leaflet to be an indirect surrender appeal, play up Allied war successes and discredit Axis partners. The leaflet mainly concerns the defeat of Germany and Italy in North Africa. A photograph of surrendered German troops escorted to the rear is included. The message reports the surrender of 150,000 German and 50,000 Italian soldiers as well as emphasising the superiority of the Allies in every respect of the campaign in Africa.
