Abstract
Wortmann describes the taking of the German barracks in Herbertshöhe by the Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force, 11 Sept. 1914, and events during and after the capitulation of the colony on 21 Sept., including the internment of all the German residents of Rabaul and Herbertshöhe and his deportation with 22 other Germans to Australia on the Morinda, 11-24 Aug. 1915
