Description From SourceDescription Small souvenir plate with text reading ‘London Melbourne 19877 KM 18 Landingen in 90 uur en 17 minutem’ around the outside of the plate and ‘ October 1934 klm vliegtuig uiver’ as a second ring of text. An outlined black, grey and green image in the center of the plate shows a flying stork wearing goggles and holding an envelope in its beak. On the back of the stork are seven figures in black, representing the crew of four at the front and the two male passengers and one female passenger at the rear of the stork. Below the stork is a diagram of a map with black dots indicating both the point of departure in the Netherlands and arrival in Melbourne. With The plate is cracked in the bottom right or the plate. The makers mark is hand written saying ‘Koninklijk Goedewaagen Gouda’ No. 61′ Inscription LONDEN MELBOURNE 19877 KM 18 LANDINGEN IN 90 UUR EN 17 MINUTEM OCTOBER 1934 KLM VLIEGTUIG UIVER Artist/Maker: Koninklijk Goedewaagen of Gouda Dimensions: 30 x 180 mm
