Φώφη Τζέιμς (προηγουμένως Πασχαλίδου) άλμπουμ, στήλες εφημερίδας, και ραδιοφωνικό πρόγραμμα 1933-1979 – Phophi James (previously Paschalidou) life album, columns, and radio program 1933-1979

Abstract

The Hellenic Historical & Cultural centre holds a life album about Phophi, including her school certificate, personal photos (from her classroom and others), newspaper extracts about her contribution to the Greek community in Sydney, put together and donated by her friend and colleague Alexandros Alexiadis. 7 binding archives including Phophis’ columns (signing as Galateia) at the Greek Herald – years: 1972, 1973, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979. Archives were binded by Alexandros Alexiadis on his own expenses. Phophi was advising on family issues. Part of the collection includes Pophis’ Greek radio program – which was one of the first in Australia, organized by the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW. Since to the law back then prohibited radio programs in languages other than English, the Greek program had to use a translation of the sayings also in English (1960-1961).
