Description From Source163 p. : maps ; 25 cm. Title translated into English: Agricultural policies in Australia. This work approaches the study of Australian agricultural policies from several perspectives. Firstly, the author positions Australian policies within their international and domestic contexts. English colonial practices and international economic conditions are understood to have greatly influenced agriculture and grazing in Australia. The author explores the important relationship between the agricultural and manufacturing sectors. The author then examines the various restricting forces acting on agriculture, namely the natural environment, landholding system, financial system, and labour policies. The discussion is free of reference to the wartime conditions of Australia and other wartime rhetoric. Includes bibliographical references (p. 162-163)
