Abstract
Con Stamatiades was an active member of the Greek community in Sydney.
The extensive collection of his letters reveal his vivid attempts to maintain the Greek language and culture in Sydney. Specifically he expresses his wish to create a company, collaborate with publishers in Greece, and contribute Greek books to the council libraries in Sydney and Australia. His documents also reveal he structured a Greek theatrical organization (Sigkrotima Ellinon Kallitehnon), which wished to educate others on the Greek and universal theatrical repertoire.
