Description From Source Set of 6 trade cards : chromolithograph colour illustrations ; each 7 x 10.9 cm. Complete set of six illustrated advertising trade cards depicting twelve Australian mammals, with explanatory text on verso. Produced by Compagnie Liebig for distribution to customers (often exchanged for coupons), the cards also feature advertisements for soups, Oxo bouillon, tomato and other canned vegetables at base of pictures and on verso. [Liebig album 1612]. Card 1. Dingo – Gevlekte Buidelmarter [Dingo – Eastern quoll] — Card 2. Mierenegel – Tasmanische Duivel [Echidna – Tasmanian devil] — Card 3. Wombat – Buidelwolf [Wombat – Thylacine] — Card 4. Zeeleeuw – Zee-olifant [Sea Lion – Sea elephant] — Card 5.
