Handwritten papers, charts and printed material concerning the journey of the ship the “Gilt Dragon” in 1656 and thought to have been shipwrecked on the coast of Western Australia. Includes a photostat of extracts from “Dagh – Register gehouden in Casteel Batavia vaut passerende daer ter plaetse als over geheel Nederlandts – India” Anno 1656. Also includes extracts from the logs of the Emeloort and the Waeckende Boeij, 1658, sent to find survivors of the wrecked Vergulde Draeck.
