Abstract
An extensive article, over three pages, on the living and working conditions in Australia and New Zealand, written by a German who had been to the region. This originally German article explained the size of Australia and that Australia (and New Zealand) was underdeveloped if one considered the size of the country/countries, the mining industry, and the farming and agricultural opportunities in this vast country. The final part of the article is a comparison between Australia, New Zealand and Germany on birth and death rates of the countries.
