| Description From Source | Digital archive of shipwreck journals The Zeewijk’s perilous journey was chronicled by its second mate, Adriaen van de Graeff. The ship wrecked on the Houtman Abrolhos on 9 June 1727. Of the initial crew of 208, only 82 survived to eventually reach Batavia. The digitised journal, transcriptions and translations from the point of the wrecking onwards are available here. |
