| Description From Source | 0.01 linear metres, A collection of coloured and illustrated postcards, many sent from Germany to members of the Aubry family of Beerwah. A collection of coloured and illustrated postcards, many sent from Germany to members of the Aubry family of Beerwah. They are variously addressed to Mr John Aubry (P.O.Peachester), Mr August Aubry (Farmer) (Beerwah, North Coast Line), Hans Aubry (Peachester) and Miss Marie Aubry (P.O. Peachester). It seems likely that the recipients of these postcards were related to Dr Aubry who practised at Witta, near Maleny, when it was the German settlement of Teutoburgh. The name was changed to Witta at the start of the first World War. By that time, Dr Aubry apparently had returned to Germany. |
