| Description From Source | Original ms. and photograph. Comprises letter written in French to an unknown friend (“Mon cher ami”), undated, and signed photograph, undated. The photograph is early. In the photograph, Melba is portrayed full length in Spanish costume, holding a fan to her face with her left hand on her hip (possibly Rosina in the Barber of Seville?). The “Melba” of her signature is damaged, and the photograph is tipped down. |
