Description From Source1 sheet : 30 x 43 cm. Shipping time table and list of fares from Japanese ports to Hong Kong, Manila, Thursday Island, Townsville, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Stamped in Japanese agent of Thomas Cook, Yusen ticketing office in Tokyo on right margin. This NYK (Nippon Yusen Kaisha) shipping time table from 1913 in English text shows that regular shipping between Japan and Australia ran every month. The boat left Yokohama, and stopped at Kobe, Nagasaki, Hong Kong and Manila before reaching Thursday Island in Queensland. Then, it travelled southwards to Townsville, Brisbane and Sydney before reaching the final destination, Melbourne. On its return trip, it travelled back to Japan on the same route. The reverse shows passenger tariff as of December 1910 and includes information about food served in each class and reductions on diferent sorts of people and groups.
