Australië De “Daily Chronicle’ verneemt uit Melbourne: De Bondsregeering heeft een omvangrijke samenspanning ontdekt, ten doel hebbende tal van Chineezen, in strijd met de wetgeving tot wering van Aziaten, heimelijk Australië binnen te smokkelen. Sommige agenten in China en verschillende blanken in Australië moeten erbij betrokken zijn. De laatsten zouden er, als het gelukt ware, grove winsten bij opgestoken hebben. De reegering heeft last gegeven alle schepen uit Oost Azië aankomende, scherp te onderzoeken.
