Description from source |
178 p. : ill., music ; 21 cm. This manuscript is written in old German and has been bound in paper covered wooded board. Placed inside the front cover is a sheet of paper with a hand written note in red ink pen “from Rev, H. Larsen, Grovedale, Vic. [Hansen] via Mr. Roesler, 64 Addison Road, Warradale”. The words “from” and “via” are written in blue ink and appears to have been added later while the name Hansen is in a box to signify the subject of the note. The diary begins in 1841 through to 1850 and seems to be the work of Joh. Hansen who resided in South Australia for a time and then moved to Victoria, becoming a jeweler and then a pastor, dying about 1915. Contains entries about algebra, mathematics, music, philosophy etc. |
