German
Examples of German-language materials include those held at the University of Sydney Library Rare and Special Books Collection, such as the Marjorie Jacobs Collection, which contains materials relating to German colonies in the Pacific. The University of Sydney’s Macleay Museum also has relevant holdings in German. The National Library of Australia (NLA) has collected many WWII sources on enemy aliens in German but also in Italian. The National Archives of Australia (NAA), the Australian War Memorial (AWM), and the State Library of New South Wales (SLNSW) hold many letters and papers related to both World Wars, for instance, letters written by Germans, people from countries allied to Germany, and German-Australians while being incarcerated in Australian internment camps. German missionary archives are found in Australia and Germany.
